Neighborhood Expands in El Cajon
Neighborhood recently acquired a building adjacent to its existing El Cajon health center at 855 E. Madison Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020. This new space is over 12,000 sq. feet and will allow Neighborhood to expand its medical, behavioral health, and specialty services in the El Cajon community.
Purchasing this new space will create additional rooms for patient care in the existing health center, provide office space for partnering non-profit organizations, and give adequate space to administrative staff- medical scribes, translators, and patient service representatives.
The team of Certified Enrollment Counselors who help individuals and families in applying for insurance coverage (Medi-Cal, Medicare, Covered California) and assistance programs such as CalFresh will also move to the new building.
Neighborhood relocates to Valley Center
Neighborhood’s Pauma Valley location, which provided medical and dental services in the area since the 1990s, was relocated to Valley Center and saw its first patients in the new space on January 18, 2021.
The new location at 28477 Lizard Rock Road, Valley Center, CA 92082, provides medical care (pediatrics, women’s health, and general medicine), behavioral health care, and enrollment assistance for health insurance and CalFresh by Certified Enrollment Counselors.
Local Newspaper, the Valley Roadrunner, visited the new location on opening day. Read their Neighborhood Healthcare Opens in VC article here.
An Open House will be planned for later in the year, following County and State guidelines for safe gatherings.
Riverside Virtual Groundbreaking
In partnership with Turner Impact Capital, Neighborhood has secured a property in the City of Riverside for its newest Federally Qualified Health Center which will also provide specific services for seniors.
The health center will serve patients in the surrounding area with primary care, behavioral health, and dental care services.
The goals of the eldercare center include: to maintain the participants’ health and well being while in their homes as long as possible, to reduce both hospital and nursing home stays, and lower the overall costs of healthcare for high-risk individuals. It achieves this by integrating and coordinating care for its participants across all settings, including prescriptions, transportation, meals, socialization, occupational therapy, and much more.
Neighborhood will partner with a variety of external providers (audiology, orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, etc.) to meet the various needs of its eldercare center participants.
