Neighborhood is proud to recognize Missy Pershin as our 2021 Volunteer of the Year!
Missy Pershin was honored as the Volunteer of the Year during the North County Philanthropy Council’s annual Volunteer Awards Celebration on Friday, November 5th.
Missy is a valuable extension of the Philanthropy department, assisting in anything and everything from administrative tasks to event support. Missy tirelessly helped coordinate and manage over 200 volunteers for six months at multiple COVID vaccination sites and school-based COVID testing locations for student athletes. across 4 school districts (Fallbrook, Valley Center, Escondido, and Poway).
Missy has a longtime history of volunteering and giving back. She has been a volunteer at Palomar Health for 11 years. She has provided support at the Lobby Desk and in the Administrative Office, and has served as the Surgery Waiting Volunteer Coordinator and Emergency Room Volunteer Coordinator.
