Neighborhood Healthcare’s Pope, Zavala, join Escondido Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors
– Organizations share mission of helping local community thrive –
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Julio 31, 2020) – Neighborhood Healthcare, a regional Federally Qualified Health Center providing a wide range of medical, dental, and behavioral health services, announced today that Tina Pope, its Director of Philanthropy and Patient Experience, and Adrian Zavala, its Sr. Director of Marketing & Community Engagement officially joined the Escondido Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in a virtual installation ceremony last night.
Both organizations share a common mission to help the local community thrive.
“Tina and Adrian will make great additions to our active leadership,” said Don Romo, Board Chairman of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce. “Their work at Neighborhood Healthcare in promoting community and building opportunities is in lockstep with our goals. We’re excited to have them on board!”
Pope returns to the Escondido Chamber of Commerce board after serving as Chairperson in 2009 – 2010. She also dedicates significant time to the area’s youth as the Vice President of the Escondido Union High School District Board of Education. A consummate supporter community leader, Pope proudly boasts of her membership in the Rotary Club of Escondido that started 20 years ago.
“It’s great to be back serving the Escondido Chamber of Commerce,” said Pope. “I look forward to helping this great organization further engage with families, youth, and other businesses in the region to improve the well-being of everyone in our community!”
Zavala brings more than 18 years of marketing and community building experience in a broad range of roles. His career started in graphic communications and e-commerce development with manufacturing and services organizations, eventually leading to roles as marketing manager and director of marketing and communications with a community health center. Zavala holds a Bachelor’s in Multimedia and an MBA with National University.
“As the Escondido Chamber of Commerce has served the region for more than a century, Neighborhood Healthcare has been going above and beyond in serving those in need with high integrity, professionalism, and in the spirit of collaboration for more than 50 years,” said Zavala. “I’m excited to do my part for both organizations to ensure this region and its people prosper!”
