– Funds to expand services in San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino Counties –
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (September 5, 2024) – Neighborhood Healthcare, a regional Federally Qualified Health Center providing a wide range of medical, dental, and behavioral health services, raised more than a half million dollars at its recent annual fundraising gala.
The contributions received at the August 31 event will support the organization’s expansion efforts in Riverside, San Diego and San Bernardino Counties.
“We’re grateful for the continued support we received from so many organizations and generous individuals,” said Rakesh Patel, MD, CEO of Neighborhood Healthcare. “This event exceeded all expectations and demonstrated how communities could rally around each other. Now more than ever, our mission to provide quality, comprehensive, compassionate care to everyone, including children, regardless of circumstances, is greatly needed.”
The “Fun Under The Sun” event included music, interactive silent and live auctions, and family-friendly games. Attendees also listened to touching messages from those whom Neighborhood Healthcare has helped. The money raised will go toward many initiatives, including expanding facilities and services in Lakeside, Menifee and Murrieta and additional dental services in Escondido.
“This event went a long way in helping us expand our services across Southern California to those who need access to care,” said Tina Pope, Director of External Affairs for Neighborhood Healthcare. “We believe that healthcare is a right, and are proud of our role and those with whom we partner in our region. We’re actively seeking others to join our efforts to expand our reach to more individuals and their families.”
