Neighborhood Healthcare hosted its highly anticipated Spring Fling at the scenic Ponte Winery in Temecula. This charity event was crucial for funding our mission to improve healthcare accessibility,  achieving remarkable success thanks to all participants’ overwhelming generosity and community spirit.

Celebrating Together for a Great Cause

The festivities commenced at 4:00 PM, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of community engagement and fundraising in Temecula. The attendees were treated to a variety of engaging activities that enhanced their experience. These activities included a Paint & Sip session, a wine tasting, and a guided tour through Ponte Winery’s vineyards.

The silent auction sparked excitement as the evening progressed. It featured unique items generously donated by local businesses and community members. Auction highlights included a helicopter ride-along, an all-inclusive resort stay in Mexico, and a relaxing spa package at Pechanga Resort.

The dinner and spirited live auction were the night’s main attractions, and they significantly boosted our fundraising efforts.

Dear Neighbors,

The past year provided many opportunities for change, innovation, and growth for Neighborhood Healthcare. We did so by implementing ways to continue offering compassionate care to all, regardless of circumstance. We did not retreat from that mission amidst a global pandemic. Our more than 700 dedicated team members leaned in at a time when our communities needed us most. I could not be prouder of them.

While our focus on providing access to care remained paramount, we did so in manners that did not compromise our patients’ and staff’s safety. Soon after the COVID-19 outbreak, we launched video telehealth and phone services. We transitioned thousands of patients to virtual visits, while continuing to provide critical medical, dental, and mental health care. Our innovative providers and staff overcame digital challenges to offer quality care to our patients by video, phone, and in-person. In the process, we significantly reduced the number of missed appointments, improved patient satisfaction, and enhanced staff fulfillment.

Not stopping there, Neighborhood Healthcare’s innovative healthcare professionals brought critical care to our high-risk patients confined to their homes through Mobile Health Teams in San Diego and Riverside counties. These skilled practitioners went to 2,083 patient’s homes over the course of 5 months to administer tests, labs, and COVID tests. We also expanded a myriad of other services, from pediatrics to senior care. Many of these changes will likely continue when the pandemic subsides, as our patients’ demand for these new offerings grows.

This year also saw us open a new site in Temecula dedicated to the teaching of future physicians. In partnership with United Health Services (UHS), we now offer a Family Residency Program where our physicians will teach medical care, but more importantly, medical care that is culturally sensitive and community based. Additionally, we broke ground in Riverside for our new site that features two facilities focusing on providing health care for the elderly. We will continue expanding the service area to include this underserved community in support of
our mission.

We stand stronger and more accessible to those in our communities needing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care as we enter 2021. Our generous and steadfast donors, sponsors, and community partners served as our catalyst in all of our achievements this year.

Time and again, individuals, families, our staff, and philanthropic organizations demonstrated their generosity in 2020 through financial support and donations of food and supplies to support Neighborhood Healthcare. These donations allowed us to provide for our community’s most vulnerable. We feel the outpouring of support in each donation, message, item of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and smile. Our donors and community partners play the most important role in helping us care for our critically ill patients who, without donations and collaborations, could not access our services. We promise you that our drive to innovate, grow, and adapt to the changing healthcare needs of our communities will only continue in 2021!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us be better together.

Gratefully yours,

Neighborhood continues to expand access to quality care in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to excellent financial management, Neighborhood can grow strategically to meet the challenges of providing services while maintaining social distancing.

In September, Neighborhood Healthcare Temecula Parkway opened to increase access in the Temecula Valley. January 2021 will complete the relocation of the Pauma Valley location to Valley Center. February 2021 will see the opening of a new health center located in the City of Riverside that will be part of Neighborhood’s care for the elderly center, opening in July 2021.

Groundbreaking and Construction of Riverside Health Center and Elder Care Center

In partnership with Turner Impact Capital, Neighborhood has secured a property in the City of Riverside for its newest Federally Qualified Health Center and care for the elderly center.

The health center will serve patients in the surrounding area with primary care, behavioral health, and dental care services.

The goals of the eldercare center include: to maintain the participants’ health and well being while in their homes as long as possible, to reduce both hospital and nursing home stays, and lower the overall costs of healthcare for high-risk individuals. It achieves this by integrating and coordinating care for its participants across all settings, including prescriptions, transportation, meals, socialization, occupational therapy, and much more.

Neighborhood will partner with a variety of external providers (audiology, orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, etc.) to meet the various needs of its eldercare center participants.

New Temecula Parkway Location Open

The addition of our second location in Temecula at 31720 Temecula Pkwy, Ste 200, Temecula, CA 92592 enables Neighborhood to serve more patients in need in the Temecula Valley.

In partnership with United Health Services (UHS), this site is also dedicated to the teaching of future physicians. The Family Residency Program will be taught by Neighborhood physicians, to teach medical care that is culturally sensitive and community based.

A Virtual Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be recorded and shared to provide additional details about this exciting partnership!

Relocation of Pauma Valley Clinic to Valley Center

Neighborhood’s Pauma Valley location has been providing medical and dental services in the area since the 1990s. After careful research of where patients live, and an evaluation of the physical space at the Pauma Valley location, the search began for a new location that would allow Neighborhood to expand care and resources to its patients.

The new Valley Center location will be at 28477 Lizard Rock Road, Valley Center, CA 92082, with an anticipated opening date of January, 2021. Services will include medical care (pediatrics, women’s health, and general medicine), behavioral health care, and enrollment assistancefor health insurance and CalFresh by Certified Enrollment Counselors.
